Georgia
Graham was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and has been hooked
on chalk pastels since grade four. She graduated from the
Alberta College of Art in 1982 and first used her art to entertain
children in her Sunday school class. Her published works include
"A Team Like No Other", "Where Wild Horses Run", "Bibi and the Bull", "The
Strongest Man This Side of Cremona", "Cub's Jounrey Home", and more. Georgia Graham lives with
her husband on a small farm in Central Alberta.
Georgia has a philosophy about children's books: "The
illustrations in my children's books are much more time consuming
than the writing. But the story must be a strong structure, like
a skeleton, to hold the artwork. The illustrations are the fleshy,
showy part."
Georgia is invited to many schools
annually to present, demonstrate and conduct workshops across Canada.
